The last two stories, "The Spaceman's Cockpit" and "Smells Like Fish" are loosely connected, taking place in the same town. Altogether, it's a very fun and dark collection that's sure to do well by horror (or dark fantasy or suspense, or whatever we're calling horror these days) fans. At the center of each stands the iconic figure of Holmes - brilliant, eccentric, and capable of amazing feats of deductive reasoning. I'm glad I'm successful at it, because it's allowed me to live very well financially, and give my kids a lot of things.
